Cafe Breton

It's nice to find new places near your home.  Months ago, we found out that Cafe Breton has put up a branch in Tagaytay.  It was set in a hotel / restaurant compound with the Taal Lake in full view.

Our family is a patron of this restaurant because of all the affordable savory and sweet crepes they offer.  And we are so glad that they did put it in a place where we frequently stay during weekends.

I prefer to dine out in the chairs and tables they set up outside the restaurant.  One time, I opted to sit inside.  However, it seems that there was no air conditioning.  After that, I always take the "porch" seats.

The place is really homey like all their other branches.  I think that's a big plus.  Ambiance and taste are two factors that would make customers crave for more.  And both of them are fulfilled by Cafe Breton.

McDonald's Crispy Chicken Burger

I remember complaining before that McDonalds don't serve burgers along with their breakfast meals before 10am everyday.  And that is why I was happy to know that they now do in the form of their Crispy Chicken Burger.

I have already ordered this twice before, always in a drive-thru.  And so was the last time.  I never did like ordering the muffin before and therefore, the choices are narrowed to their Big Breakfast and the Crispy Chicken burger.  I wanted something more convenient to eat in a moving vehicle so Crispy Chicken burger was the choice along with hashbrowns and lots of ketchup packets to go.

I love their Crispy Chicken burger from that very first bite.  It was warm and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside.  I didn't note any extenders (like flour) if there was any.  I love how simple it was - just the chicken fillet and the bread.  And despite its size, it is quite filling too.

Big plus is, it's much cheaper than the Chicken McDo that I also love.  So now that I'm in a very tight budget, Crispy Chicken burger can give me the same satisfaction I get from the more expensive version.

Jollibee Yum with TLC

Yum with TLC is probably one of the best sellers of our "national" food chain in the country.  It is one of my favorite burgers around.  It is definitely tasty.  It may not be as good as grilled burgers but it gives the same satisfaction (and sometimes even more).

Ala Carte P50.00

Upon unwrapping the burger, there is not much to look at.  The only thing that is prominent about Jollibee's Yum with TLC is the cheese that is outpouring from the burger's insides.  It is not that appetizing-looking in comparison with other burgers.  But upon taking a bite, there's immediate burst of creamy taste of cheese that mingles with the subtle sourness of its ketchup and somehow, the taste of fresh tomatoes.

It is therefore surprising when you examine the insides of this burger.  You would wonder how it tastes that good with just so little portions of tomato and lettuce.  We would definitely not get enough minerals from that burger.  Hopefully, the cheese makes up for it.

Jollibee Yum with TLC is a truly enjoyable satisfying treat that is served fast for those people who would want a quick fix of a meal.  We may or may not agree that we get our money's worth but my taste buds give it an A-okay grade.  A big plus if it is served with an ice cold soda.
